Steps to Become a Notary in Alaska

To become a notary public in Alaska, make sure you meet the eligibility
requirements listed above, then complete the following six steps:

Step 1- Order a four-year, $2,500 Alaska notary bond

Our notary bonds include a complimentary $10,000 errors and omissions policy at no additional charge to you. The notary bond is available for download instantly from our website upon checkout. Upon submitting your notary application, you will be able to download your Signature Page Form from your myAlaska account. Print the form and take the oath of office in the presence of a notary public. Once the form is signed and notarized, upload a copy to your account. Lastly, under payment, select “add to cart” to pay the $40 application filing fee.

Once your application is approved, you will receive an automated approval email containing a digital copy of your commission certificate and the Alaska notary statutes. A physical certificate will be mailed to you within two weeks of approval.
